Demonstrates the history of colonization, frontier influences, French Creole architecture, cotton agriculture, slavery and tenancy labor systems, changing technologies and evolving social practices over two hundred years.
A non-profit group interested in the Cane River region--the waterway, its history, and the area's culture. We assist Cane River Creole National Historical Park and others with events/activities that promote the river as a healthy, fun body of water.
After serving as Executive Director of Cane River National Heritage Area for seven years, I have created a consulting business, POINT Heritage Development Consulting, LLC. Through POINT HDC, I plan to continue working on projects in historic preservation, cultural conservation, economic development and heritage management.
