The National Park Service's 19th annual course on geophysics took place in May 2009. About 10 different instructors and 20 professional archeologists and students came together to explore a variety of instruments ranging from ground penetrating radar to power parachutes flying thermal cameras. The course was held at the Los Adaes Historical Site and the headquarters of the National Center for Preservation Technology & Training in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana.
